(Al-Hajj : 23-24)

Fourth hadith-our past,present and future

'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the truthful and confirmed one, told him:"The way that each of you is created is that you are gathered in your mother's womb for forty days as a sperm-drop and then for a similar length of time as a blood-clot and then for a similar length of time as a lump of flesh. Then an angel is sent and he breathes the spirit (ruh) into you and is encharged with four commandments: to write down your provision, your life-span, your actions, and whether you will be happy or wretched. By Him, apart form Whom there is no god, one of you can do the actions of someone destined for the Garden until there is only an arm's length between him and it, and then what is written will overtake him and he will do the actions of someone destined for the Fire and enter it.And one of you can do the actions of someone destined for the Fire until there is only an arm's length between him and it, and then what is written will overtake him and he will do the actions of someone destined for the Garden and enter it."
~Related by Bukhari & Muslim~
Just remember, Allah created us from nothing. He'll raise us again from the dead to face The Judgement Day. Goes to show how powerful Allah is..Allahuakbar!
Our provision (rezeki), our life span (ajal), our actions (amal) and our ending (kesudahan) may have been written and will never change but we do have choices in this life, whether we want to follow the path of Truth or the other path that'll lead us to the Hellfire. So,keep on doing what Allah ask us to and pray to Him that we'll steadfastly stay as a good Muslimah, insyaAllah.
Surah Al-Lail, verse5-10 relates:
5. As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him,6. And believes in Al-Husna.7. We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness).8. But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.9. And gives the lie to Al-Husna;
10. We will make smooth for him the path for evil

THE SECOND= ENTIRETY OF RELIGION

It is reported on the authority of Umar b. al-Khattab that he said:One day, while we were sitting with Rasulallah (s), a man appeared before us. His garments were sparkling white; his hair the darkest black. No signs of travel appeared on him. None of us recognized him. He went to the Prophet (s) and sat in front of him, placing his knees before [the Prophet's] knees.
He also placed his hands upon the Prophet's thighs, saying: 'Muhammad, What is Islam?'
Rasulallah, (s), replied, saying: 'Islam is to testify that there is no deity save Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; to establish regular prayer; to give regular alms ("zakat"); to fast Ramadan; and, to visit Allah's House as a pilgrim, if you are able.'
The stranger said, 'You speak the truth.'
Umar said: 'We were amazed that he would ask him [a question], then tell him he was truthful!'
The stranger said: 'Muhammad, what is faith?'
Rasulallah replied, saying: 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in [the Divine] Power ("Qadar"), its good and its ill.'
The stranger said: 'You speak the truth.' Then, he said: 'What is Ihsan?'
Rasulallah replied, saying: 'Ihsan is to serve Allah as though you see Him, but if you see Him not, then [to serve Him knowing] He sees you.'
The stranger said: 'You speak the truth.' Then, he said: 'Can you inform me about the Hour ("Qiamat")?'
Rasulallah replied, saying: 'The questioned knows no more about it then the questioner.'
The stranger said: 'Then tell me of its signs.'
Rasulallah said: '[Among] its signs are that the slave woman shall give birth to her mistress, and that the poor, naked and barefoot, the herders of sheep, shall compete in raising tall buildings.'
The stranger tarried but a moment before departing.
The Prophet (s) said to me: 'Umar, do you know who was the questioner?'
I replied that Allah and His Messenger knew better.
Rasulallah (s) said: 'This is Jibril. He came to teach you your religion.'
The hadith explains that religion is made up of three elements:
Islam
The Prophet (s) explained that the first category consists of external actions, both conduct and speech. The first external action is to testify that there is no deity save Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. The remaining acts, namely, regular prayer, regular alms, fasting Ramadan, and Pilgrimage, all involve conduct that can be described as either involving only the body, e.g., salat and sawm, or involving only property, e.g., paying regular alms, or a composite of the two, e.g., Pilgrimage to Makka al-Mukarrama.
Iman
As for Iman (faith), the Prophet (s) explained it as inner beliefs in the heart, saying that it is belief in Allah, His Angels, His books, His messengers, resurrection after death, and belief in Divine Power, its good and its bad.
Ihsan
The Prophet's explanation of 'ihsan' as worshipping Allah in this manner, namely, drawing forth the feeling of His closeness and that He is with the servant as though he sees Him -this necessarily results in glorification, fear, awe and respect [of Allah]. This condition also leads to sincerity in worship expending all one's ability in improving it, completing it properly and perfecting it. The Prophet, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, told several of his companions this advice, namely, to worship Allah as though you see Him, because of the vast benefits such a condition bestows upon the person who attains this level. The second part of the hadith of the Prophet (s) explaining ihsan is that 'if you do not see Him, than He sees you.' Because it is very difficult to attain the level that allows you to worship Allah as though you see Him, the Prophet (s) told us that we may seek to attain that level by means of our knowledge that He certainly sees us.
Signs of The Last Day
When Jibril (s) asked the Prophet (s) about the Last Day, the Prophet (s) disclaimed any knowledge of when it will occur. This is evidence that Allah has kept knowledge of this moment to Himself. Likewise, it shows the importance of saying 'I don't know,' when one is asked about something of which he is ignorant. Far from reducing his stature, admission of ignorance is a sign of piety and fear of Allah. The first sign is that the slave girl gives birth to her master. Some thought of this to refer to children disobeying and treating their parents as slaves. The scholars have understood this to be a reference to the early conquests of Islam and the spread of slaves among the Muslims from the conquered populations, and that the children of these slave women would be their masters, for the child of a master is in the same position, socially, as the master. Thus, the slave woman will give birth to her master. The second sign is that you see the barefoot, the naked, the poor, the herders of sheep, competing in raising tall buildings. The meaning of this is that the undeserving become the leaders of the people. In this expression is criticism of needless luxury and showing off for the purpose of gaining prestige in this life.
p/s: quite a long hadith... :)

(Al-Mulk)

21. JADI, APAKAH YANG PATUT AKU BUAT SELEPAS INI?
--perbaiki amal dan luruskan niat kerana Allah

69. Dan orang-orang yang berusaha dengan
bersungguh-sungguh kerana memenuhi kehendak ugama
Kami, sesungguhnya Kami akan meminpin mereka ke
jalan-jalan Kami (yang menjadikan mereka bergembira
serta beroleh keredhaan); dan sesungguhnya
(pertolongan dan bantuan) Allah adalah beserta
orang-orang yang berusaha membaiki amalannya.
(al-Ankaboot)

(al-Mukminun)

"Demi waktu pagi.Dan demi waktu malam yang sunyi
sepi.Tiada sekali-kali Tuhanmu meninggalkanmu dan
tiada pula ia murkakanmu. Dan sesungguhnya Akhirat itu
lebih baik untukmu dari dunia"

the FIRST of 40

On the authority of the Commander of the Faithful , Abu Hafs Omar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, who said : I heard the Messenger of Allah salla Allah u alihi wa sallam say :"Actions are but by intention and every man shall have but that which he intended. Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His Messenger, his migration was for Allah and His Messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated."
~Related by Bukhari and Muslim~
The hadith indicates that the intention is a yardstick for making one's actions sound. Only insofar as the intention is correct is the action correct, and insofar as the intention is wrong is the action wrong. (but this applies only to the "halal" actions cos the "haram" remains "haram",as the Malay sayings goes:"Matlamat tak menghalalkan cara")If an action takes place and an intention accompanies it, such action is characterized by one of the following three states (the three contexts of "ikhlas"):
a) It is performed out of fear of God the Exalted: this is the worship of slaves (`abid).
b) It is performed in the pursuit of the Garden of Paradise and the pursuit of reward: this is the worship of traders (tujjar).
c) It is performed out of shame before God and in order to fulfill the duty of servanthood and give thanks while one sees oneself remiss despite doing all this, fearing in his heart because he does not know -- even then -- if his action is accepted or not: this is the worship of free men (ahrar).
Three things that could make our "amal" unacceptable to Allah:
a)pride in one's action
b)assabiyyah (obsessed) with one's "amal"
c)riya' (making display)
p/s: pardon my language..it is quite hard to write this in English..hehe..and well,i got some help from a website *wink*..sorry for not being able to include all the details,though..feel free to ask or to correct things here.. :D
p/s#2 (he2): i've tried to include the arabic version of this hadith..came out ok while i was typing it,but not so when i previewed it on the blog..how frustrating!..hu2..

::women are like ORANGES::

Women are like ORANGES on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten ORANGES from the grounds that aren't as good, but easy. So the ORANGES at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, THEY'RE amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.
assalamualaikum all..
my first post here:D ..(sorry ummi, not that Islamic..ehehe..)..just something nice to share..*wink*..

LOVE for the sake of ALLAH

from www.islamonline.com

Islamiway - 7/7/2004 10:30:00 AM GMT
To love someone for the sake of Allah is a grand act for which much merit and many rewards have been promised."To love for the sake of Allah" means loving someone, not for worldly gain, but because he/she is more religious and pious or busy in serving Muslims and Islam, or because loving him or her is commanded by Allah; like loving parents.Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:"Allah shall ask on the Day of Judgment; ' Where are those who loved for the sake of my greatness? Today when there is no shade, I shall have them in my shade.'" [Sahih Muslim]Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an:"The Believers are but a single brotherhood."[49:10]Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:“There are three things, that whoever attains, will find the sweetness of faith: If Allah and his messenger are dearer to him than anyone else; if he loves a person solely for the sake of Allah; and if he would hate to return to disbelief (kufr) after Allah has rescued him from it, as much as he would hate to be thrown into fire."[Agreed upon]Having love for Allah's pious and good bondsmen is actually an outcome of one's love for Allah, so it earns the same rewards and merits as the latter.Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was asked:"When shall come the Day of Judgment?" Our Prophet (pbuh) asked him : “What preparation have you made for the Day?" The man said, "Nothing, but I have love for Allah and for his messenger." The Prophet (pbuh) said: "You shall be (on that Day) with whom you love."The above saying (hadith) has been quoted by Anas. He said that these words of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) pleased us as nothing had ever done. He added: "I have great love for the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) - may he be eternally blessed - and with Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, and because of this love, I shall be in their company, even though my deeds are not equal to theirs." [Sahih Bukhari]Allah has commanded Muslims to love one another, to take one another as friends and brothers and care and help each other, Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an:(And hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited, and remember the favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts so by His favor you became brethren; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire, then He saved you from it, thus does Allah make clear to you His communications that you may follow the right way.)[3:103]Our love for each other for the sake of Allah implies a willingness to sacrifice our needs for the sake of our fellow Muslims’ needs in a manner that far outweighs normal sacrifice for the sake of friendship. This pure love is crucial to maintaining Muslims’ faith, if Muslims don’t have strong relations with each other, their faith will automatically decrease.Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:“The relationship between believers is like a wall, parts of which support other parts.”[Muslim]The concept of love for the sake of Allah doesn’t recognize nor permit “friendship" between men and women that is outside of marriage and familial bonds. However, Muslims wives and husbands shouldl love each other for the sake of Allah, their children will love them and love each other for the sake of Allah. This will sure result in strong family relations and a healthy Muslim community.A Muslim should not forsake or abandon his brother, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:“There should be no breaking off of ties, no turning away from one another, no hating one another. Be brothers, as Allah has commanded you.”[Muslim]Also Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) advised Muslims to show their love for one another, he said:“If a man loves his brother in faith, he should tell him that he loves him.”[Abu Dawud]There are so many sayings of our Prophet (pbuh) showing that having love for someone for the sake of Allah is an act of great merit, which grants one the opportunity of doing good in this world and being in exalted company in the Hereafter.Hence, one should love good people for the sake of Allah and with the intent of becoming good oneself and earning Allah's pleasure.

Relatifnya kita.....

Surah Al-Jaatsiyah : 16-17

                                                                        ******************

Salam ukhuwah dan mahabbah fillah ...

Moge2 anak2 Ummi sehat wal-afiat... Back to uni, after this we have to stuck our noses back to our books... However, Allah has provide us 24 hours per day not to be waste, but to be spend wisely! Heh.. Harap2 masa yg ada tak disia-siakan ngan benda2 lagha...
Ingat sokmo, kalu terasa bosan .. rasa cam nak baca novel cintan je, ingat! Al-Quran tak habes lagi cover!
Ingat sokmo, kalu terasa blank .. rasa cam nak nengok TV, ingat! banyak lagi rancangan ilmiah yang tak tertengok....
SPEAK NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL, SEE NO EVIL!!

But also for us to learn, and might as well kena pada batang hidung kita...
